Amy Berryhill

“Yoga takes you into the present moment, the only place where life exists.” -Patangali

After stepping off the mat for the first time in 2015, Amy's passion for yoga ignited, and her journey officially began. After practicing almost daily for a year, she began teaching and then took her practice to the next level by completing her 200-hour RYT at Camp Utopia in Wimberley this past summer. She is passionate about helping others experience the power of the present both on and off the mat. Amy’s classes are both relaxing and empowering and her combination of alignment-based asanas, pranayama and meditation cues help students leave the mat feeling calm and refreshed. She teaches a variety of Hatha and Vinyasa flow classes open to yogis of all levels and backgrounds!

When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, she is probably enjoying the outdoors, reading, playing piano or hanging out with friends. Her other hobbies include exploring coffee shops for the perfect cup of jo and simply enjoying the tiny gifts life gives us everyday (like the perfect cup of jo).

 Ashley Shelton

Ashley grew up in the Texas Hill Country and has always felt a deep connection to nature.  At the age of 16, she found her first yoga class and felt the powerful connection of the body, breath and spirit.  She tells us, "Again and again I come back to my yoga practice and find a deep love for myself and all beings.”

Ashley became a certified children's yoga teacher at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. She completed her 200 hour Hatha certification under Jenn Wooten and Angie Knight.  She is currently completing a 200 hour Kundalini course with Siri Badahur, Guru Karam and Methab.

You can expect a class that is light- hearted, nourishing, trauma sensitive, and  focused on embodiment through asana, pranayama and mantra.   In her ability to connect emotionally and somatically she hopes to guide students to their inner teacher, healer, and light. When not on the yoga mat you will find her in outside playing, writing and making art.

Edmee Files

Edmee has been practicing yoga for nine years and recently obtained her yoga certification to teach.  For the last several months, Edmee has been teaching the Yoga You Need in Wimberley.  Her primary goal is continued education of yoga techniques, Feldenkrais, and various physical therapy techniques, as well as expanding her practice with other yoga instructors.  The primary focus of her yoga practice, and what you will find in her classes, is a concentration on body awareness, as well as creative movement that is appropriate for your body.
